When we plan engagement sessions with our couples, most of the time they choose a cool city or a gorgeous wilderness location. When I asked Lauren & Adam where they wanted to do their engagement session they threw a lot of ideas around. After a lot of debate, they chose to stay right at home. The day they moved into their home together, Adam popped the question. What a perfect special spot for their engagement session! Not to mention, Lauren has a keen design eye. I’m a little obsessed with how amazing their home is! We had them play a round of their favorite board game, snuggled on couches, and played with their sweet pup in the backyard. They’ve got a beautiful little piece of paradise. You’d never know the city of Charlotte was right around the corner!
These two also love the great outdoors, so in order to get that forest vibe without all the trekking, we ended their session back up in Statesville. We explored Mac Anderson park just as the sun was fading. I love the rusticness of this park with it’s winding trails and epic pines. Fall can be so much fun with the changing colors, rich light, and leaves to chuck at one another’s heads. I mean really, you can’t go wrong. So as the temperature dropped with the sun we finished with one of my favorite shots of 2018. Epic trees and sweet love.
In just a little over a month, these two are having a New Years Eve wedding! It’s going to be a party to remember and the best way ever to ring in 2019! We can’t wait!
