Cayla and Zack are that couple you see on tv or in the movies. They met in high school, started dating, and then a few years later tied the knot. Yet despite their time together, their love has stayed fresh & beautiful which is a testament to the years to come! Their day was chalked full of beautiful moments, gorgeous people, & delicious light! I am in love with their love & I hope to see much more of Cayla & Zack in the future! Especially since Cayla literally works down the road from my office, YAY! I love when my clients jump into their day feet first, ready for any idea I throw at them! Thank you Cayla & Zack for allowing me to capture all of your beautiful & crazy moments!
xoxoxo,
Mabyn
How did you meet?
We met in high school and even though we didn’t start dating until our sophomore year in college, we always joked that we would someday get married…and we did!
How did your fiance propose?
Zack proposed in the living room of our new home December 24, 2009. He bought Cayla a new camera for Christmas but prior to wrapping it he took a picture of her engagement ring. Cayla found the picture while she was playing around with her new gift and instantly said yes as Zack got down on one knee with the ring!
Tell me a bit about the planning process for your wedding (how did you pick the venue, colors, funny stories, etc..):
My Grandmother, Janet was a huge help. She found the Chapel, Reception Venue and Caterer. We knew we wanted something with an outdoor, romantic feel and our venues were perfect! We also had an amazing wedding coordinator, Jamie, who was able to pull it all together.
What details at your wedding had special significance?
Zack’s sister, Nicole, read a love letter written by their Grandfather to their Grandmother when he was hospitalized and thought he may not survive the procedure.
What was the most memorable moment(s) of your day?
When my Grandfather read Saint Paul’s letter to the Corinthians.
If you had to do it all over, would you change anything?
Not a thing!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
When Zack couldn’t get the ring on my ring finger and announced it our 200 guests.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
My blue shoes!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Maui, Hawaii
Any advice for future bride & grooms?
Remember the moments that take your breath away.
When we walked in the room we were greeted by this beautiful little love note! How amazing is Zack?!
I want to eat this light in the doorway! So beautiful!
Seriously…I want to watch their tv drama? I’m thinking Friday Night Lights meets One Tree Hill 🙂
p.s. Jamie from A Pink Door did an amazzzzzzzing job! The layout took my breath away!
I was so excited there was a cigar station. I just had to do some epic guy shots! Zack, I know you were waiting for this one!
