I really love how small this world can be some times. Granted, Syracuse isn’t a very large city, but I think it’s large enough to frequently meet new people. One of the great joys of being a photographer is that I get to make new friends on a regular basis! But I digress, the world really IS very tiny, whether we think so or not! Everyone is connected in some way!
Take Connie for instance, her Mom found my website online by just browsing photographers. No business card from a friend, no referral from a co-worker. So she emailed me and we started a chatting about her daughters senior portraits. We decided to do a home shoot so Connie could get pictures done with her horse (Woohoo!) so I needed their address. Their home happened to be very close to where I grew up. In fact, Connie attended my Alma Mater! Points there, because our school is VERY small! I graduated with only 50 some odd people in my class! So we had A LOT of people in common. When we were about half way through the shoot, Connie’s dad came home from work and low and behold I had known him from my childhood! He and my parents were friends! Weird, small, crazy world that I love! It was such a wonderful evening getting to know everyone! They even invited me for dinner! There’s nothing like sharing a meal together! Thank you to Connie, Caroline, and the rest of your wonderful family for allowing me to spend time with you and capture Connie’s beauty!
OMG, how do you choose?? They are all such natural (emphasis on natural, love it), wonderful shots! BUT, I think, my personal fav. is the black and white Bloh4
