Cari & Amol’s engagement session was 90+ degrees. They got married during hurricane Matthew so the day of their maternity session was bound to be perfect right? Well, almost. We had both extreme humidity & a monsoon on the day scheduled for their session. Thankfully, we all had the next evening free and YES it was the most perfect weather you could ask for a July day in North Carolina! For one day and one day only the humidity faded and the temps cooled to the high 70s. I didn’t think that was possible here in NC.
I was looking forward to this session with so much anticipation. It’s been such a wonderful journey getting to know Cari & Amol through their wedding and now as they start a family of their own! Cari is originally from this area and her father owns a beautiful plot of land just 20 minutes from Daniel & I! We thought it fitting that Cari & Amol celebrate this next adventure in a place where Cari had so many of her own. So we wandered the yard as the sun started to set.
I love small towns and Cari’s hometown reminds me so much of my own. As the sun continued to set we drove 2 miles down the road to her grandparents home! Their family all lives close together and were more than happy to let us explore the acers and acers of beautiful farm land. We visited with cows and chased the most epic sunset I’ve seen in awhile. The sky was all shades of oranges and reds! A brilliant way to end the shoot!
But our time with Cari & Amol didn’t stop there. We finally got to spend the rest of the evening catching up over pizza and beer. Well…sadly Cari couldn’t enjoy the beer, but we all enjoyed it for her. 😉 To have clients made friends is seriously my favorite part of this job. To watch a family grow from new love, to life long commitment, and then growing their legacy with a new family. Nothing could be sweeter! I can’t wait to meet your sweet baby girl Cari and Amol! She’s going to do amazing things, just like her parents!
XOXOXO,
