I hope you’re having an amazing 4th of July! We’ll be indulging in some quality time with our family as well as some grilled goodness! I couldn’t let today go by without sharing our shenanigans from last weekend. With the 4th comes the realization that summer is really here. Like REALLY here. 90 degree + weather, epic thunderstorm clouds, and all the sweaty magic that they bring. Thankfully Daniel and I weren’t being photographed cuz Lawd knows I was a hot mess! You wouldn’t know it was like walking thru soup at Caroline & Stephen’s colorful Uptown Charlotte engagement session! They looked amazing!

Charlotte is Home

These two are in the minority when it comes to the population. They’re BOTH locals! WHAT? Aside from my husband, I don’t know many locally born and raised Charlotte folk. Charlotte has become this melting pot from all over the country, which is pretty cool. But it’s even more rare to find a couple in love who calls Charlotte home. So it was very fitting that they chose this city for their engagement session. We started at the South End and worked our way to Uptown before chasing the sunset to the perfect parking deck!

It’s All About Connection

It had been awhile since Caroline and Stephen booked us. So I was super excited to reconnect with them. It’s great when you find “your people” ammi right? Caroline and Stephen love travel, good craft beer, and delicious food. Things that Daniel and I love too! It was easy to talk with them about all of their dreams, passions, and get a glimps into what they hold dear. This is where the magic happens! We become friends, the story unfolds, and we capture it along the way! I honestly couldn’t believe the shoot was over when the sun finally set behind the Charlotte city skyline. (Which, by the way, took us racing across the city and 2 parking garages to find the perfect view!) October can’t come soon enough in my opinion! Their Alexander Homestead wedding is going to be off the hook amazing!
