DONNA’S ENGAGED! DONNA’S ENGAGED! DONNA’S ENGAGED!!!!!!!! Oh….did I mention that DONNA’S ENGAGED!!!!!!!!

Ok, now that I’ve shouted it from the internet’s rooftops, I am so incredibly proud to announce my best friends official engagement! Yes, the girl who has been with me through thick and thin has found the man she wants to give her heart to.

We all knew pretty quickly that this was the right guy for her. Even before meeting Benny, I had a feeling that he was “the one.” A couple months after they had started dating, Donna and Benny took a trip up to NC to visit me. It was then that my gut feeling was solidified. Benny is the perfect calm to Donna’s crazy, if you know what I mean. They really compliment each other in every single way. I’ve seen Donna moony eyed (do people still say that?) over guys before, but this was something significantly different. Benny really knows how to care for my girl and she can’t help but adore him in every single way. So when Donna called me on the phone before the trip she shyly asked if we could do a photo session. “I was expecting this…I mean DUH! What else do we do when we’re together?” 😉 She squealed her little squeal and I laughed.

After the session was done (thank you Benny for being awesome!) I told Donna that she wasn’t allowed to show any of the pictures until the engagement was “official.” I’m a horrible friend I know, making her wait so long! But hey, this is special and delayed gratification is part of that! 😉 Anywho, just this past Wednesday Benny officially asked Donna to be his wife! So now in celebration, Donna and I get to plaster these pictures all over the web!

CONGRATULATIONS MY WONDERFUL FRIEND! There is no one sweeter or with a bigger heart. You deserve this happiness and all the joy that comes along with it. I am so proud of you for waiting and not compromising. You are so beautiful and wonderful and I’m so glad God sent you a man who truly knows how to cherish and treasure you in every way! Now I’m going to stop, because I’m starting to write my Maid of Honor speech! 😉
