Life is a whirlwind right now for Justin and Bailey. They’ve just graduated from their respective colleges, they’re starting new jobs, moving to a new city, and getting married all at once! It’s been nonstop since the engagement! Here we are, the day before the wedding and I’m finally getting to post their rainy south end charlotte engagement session. It’s pretty obvious that the rainy March day we spent together was needed. Engagement sessions give you the perfect excuse to slow down and just be with each other. It can be as casual or fancy as you want it. We can go to your favorite spot or do something you love to do as a couple. It’s the perfect way to slow down and show each other the reason you’re getting married in the first place!
Bailey has been in Virginia and Justin in Alabama. So they met in the middle here in the South End of Charlotte for their session. We had one day to shoot no raincheck we had to make it work. Then these two were back to their busy lives and Daniel and I were preparing for our whirlwind just a few months away (I’ll be introducing him soon!).
These two love their coffee! It’s fun for them to discover a new shop to enjoy a good cup and enjoy their quiet time with God. They can do it side by side and soak in scripture. What a healthy habit with that will strengthen their marriage in the years to come. Of course, obvious spot to start their session was at Central Coffee Co in the South End of Charlotte, NC. Thankfully our couples are adventurous as it was pretty chilly with a cold drizzle coming down. It was a great excuse to cuddle and keep each other warm! We played in the rain and unlikely cool spots like parking garages. We had originally hoped to nab an epic sunset shot, but were pleasantly surprised at how cool the Charlotte skyline looked engulfed in fog at twilight! It was the perfect way to end our time together.
Daniel and I get the honor of capturing their wedding tomorrow. I’m über excited, not just because these two are so amazing, but it’s our first wedding back from maternity leave! My trigger finger is extra itchy and tho I’ll miss our Baby Bean, I’m ready to get back to my second baby, this business!
Soon I’ll be sharing with you more from their gorgeous wedding but for now, enjoy this sweet rainy day with a pair of wonderful love birds!
XOXOXO,
Mabyn
