Finding The Right Spot

Jennifer and Brandon had a difficult time deciding on where to have their engagement session. We went back and forth via email with different ideas finally settling on Bass Lake in Blowing Rock. When the day finally came for their session, massive thunderstorms threatened to wash us out. As we talked over the phone, we decided to postpone. With a sigh, Jennifer agreed that it was for the best and gazed out her car window. It was then that she passed a beautiful farm.

Everything Happens For A Reason

While passing the farm she mentioned it to me over the phone and said: “My dream session would be at a farm with horses, but I don’t know anyone who owns one.” My ears perked up and a light bulb went off in my brain. She may not know anyone, but I sure did! My friend Sarah of Laze L Farm Photography had a beautiful farm with rolling hills, barn, and horses that were already used to the camera! I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and that stormy day was so Jennifer could get her dream Taylorsville NC farm engagement session.

Picture Perfect Day

Fast forward a few weeks the storms had passed and the afternoon was picture perfect…you see what I did there? I don’t think Jennifer could have had a bigger grin on her face as we explored Laze L Farm together. My friend Sarah came along too and gave us a grand tour. Did I mention we were both pregnant at the time too? Two pregnant photographers waddling around a farm having a grand old time with a sweet couple in love. It was hilarious and so much fun!

Soon these two will be married not far from where this session took place. Taylorsville just happens to be the perfect spot for this amazing couple. I can’t wait to share the love!
