I love when we meet our clients by kismet. Nicole & Nick are fantastically busy up in New York City in their theater careers (see what I did there? I’m still a little bit of a musical theater nerd). With the hustle and bustle of life and planning a wedding multiple states away, time can fly. It wasn’t long before they realized that a lot of their wedding photographer picks were already booked up for their wedding date. But as fate should have it, we weren’t booked! In fact, we’ve been very selective with how many clients we brought on for 2019 with the birth of Elias. So when their coordinator contacted us, I insisted we meet with them before getting the contract going. Oh. My. Goodness. I could not have handpicked a more wonderful couple for this season! And their vibrant Blowing Rock engagement sealed the deal. Kismet, I’m telling you!
Nicole & Nick ventured down here to North Carolina so they could finish up the last of their wedding plans and spend an afternoon in the mountains with me! We started at Moses Cone Manor House in Blowing Rock. It’s such a beautiful location with hiking trails, horses, and a big ol’ southern porch perfect for photos! Nicole chose to wear her reception dress which will be perfect to party the night away in.
We then traveled down the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Rough Ridge Overlook. It’s been a couple of years since I had hiked that trail and it felt so good to be back in the mountains. It really showed me how out of shape I am post-baby, but I didn’t care! The mountains are my happy place and those epic views with Nicole & Nick still make me giddy! Anyone else obsessed with incredible mountain views?
In just a few weeks these two are going to tie the knot. I can almost guarantee it will be one of the highlights of our year! So consider this blog to be continued!
XOXOXO,
