GINA’S GETTING MARRIED! GINA’S GETTING MARRIED!
I’m not sure I can adequately express my excitement for my girl Gina! She’s officially engaged and neck deep in wedding plans! Gina, the little sister I never had. Gina, the sweetest and most genuine girl I know. Gina my friend forever. She’s marring her Matt. Whom I was pretty sure she’d marry from the moment I met him. He’s sincere, humble, and loves Gina with all his being. And all I can say is YAAAAAAS! *Cue glitter and confetti everywhere*
The Proposal
Matt messaged me months ago letting me know he was going to propose. We figured out the official date and I immediately set into motion a plan to get back to NY with out Gina knowing why I was there. Photo shoots were the perfect guise! I planned my annual NY portrait shoot for the very week of the event. Everything was set and ready to go. If only I had a mustache, I would have twirled it in delight. She had no clue!
So when the day of the proposal came, her family and friends all gathered at Pratt Falls park to witness and celebrate the proposal! The perfect scene was set, Matthew and Gina had a walk down to their favorite waterfall overlook as they did most anniversaries. Matthew had prepared a video for Gina to watch in advance, as she did Matthew dropped to one knee in preperation. As she finished the video she turned and with shock and delight said yes! *Cue the crowd* The rest of us hid knowlingly on top of the falls overlook so when the engagement was official we all jumped up and cheered. Gina was in complete shock and the whole event was a massive success! Hooray sneakiness!
Surprise number 2
Gina, because of her sweet nature, has a lot of talented friends. In fact, 3 of her closest are all wedding and portrait photographers. My contribution to Gina & Matt’s celebration was a beautiful engagement session at Green Lakes State Park. This session was extra special getting to roam one of my favorite CNY locations with one of my all time favorite couples! The whole NY trip was for this purpose and I think Matt knocked it out of the park. This session was the perfect end to a perfect trip! Thanks Matt for bringing me in on the plot. I can’t wait till next July when we all get to celebrate together again at your WEDDING! AHHHH!
