2016 has been quite the year. It’s been a year of change, of heart ache, of division, of first times, and of celebrations. It’s been a year that’s put our country and Daniel and I through the ringer. But I’m pretty sure 2016 has made us stronger in so many ways, so even tho I could look back on 2016 with distain, I wont.
I’m sitting here this Christmas morning with my amazing husband playing guitar by my side, my parents puttering around he house doing what they love to do, and I can’t help but be grateful. My heart is so full of gratitude for a child born to die for me, for clients who find our work valuable and want to invest in us, for a family that could have fallen apart only a few months ago – but is now healing, for a husband who has stuck by my side through all of the tear filled nights. Today I am grateful and I can’t help but share it with you all. Christmas use to be joyful in a very comfortable way and this year being joy-filled is so different. Joy isn’t always natural and there were many times this year where I had to choose to be joyful. However, choosing joy and in turn hope amidst the storm always wins out in the end. Today Daniel and I rejoice in the truth that this season brings and how our sovereign God has is always in control. Today we look forward to 2017 with eagerness. Last year he taught us to abide in Him in so many ways. We’re always learning that lesson, but 2016 we learned it in spades! 2017 is the year to take what we’ve learned and thrive! We pray the same over you & your family! Merry Christmas and we pray that true Joy, Hope, & Love abide in you today and every day! “ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13

Daniel got his first real white Christmas as we journeyed up to NY to celebrate with my family!
