This colorful NoDa maternity session seriously makes my eyes pop out of my head in the best of ways! It’s so full of color and life! I had a really hard time making any of these photos black and white and it’s easy to see why!
NoDa is Muralicious!
Art and life envelopes you as soon as you enter the tiny community that’s known as NoDa. It’s still considered Charlotte, but where Charlotte is all about architecture, lines, and busy life – NoDa is about color, art, and the quality of life. On every corner, there’s a beautiful artisan shop or a unique twist on your favorite delicacy. Life happens right on the streets of NoDa, people sharing art, music, and love. It’s really not a surprise that the streets of NoDa are just as colorful as the life that’s going on there. Every corner you turn there is a vibrant and beautiful mural. Whole buildings are covered in bright paint. Your neck might get tired of taking it all in!

When I was talking with Bekah about shooting in NoDa I knew it was the perfect fit for their maternity session. Bekah is a fellow photographer and has a keen eye for creative style. So bringing her and her hubs, Jesse, to the bright shining streets of NoDa was a no-brainer! We loved getting to know then and their heart for Jesus. Their love for movies and their new sweet baby girl, Alaska. They’re so excited to meet her and all the color she’ll bring to their life too! What a fitting way to anticipate this new chapter in their life!
