It’s easy as a photographer to fill your time with photo shoot after photo shoot. A) it’s what we love to do and B) you never know when the next shoot is going to come along so you’d better make the money while you can. Part of the joy of being a business owner. Especially wedding photographers. We spend most weekends during the nice weather months shooting our faces off. Family outings, vacations, quality hammock time, all of that gets put to the sidelines. Summers are no longer about sunshine, water, and quality time. So, when I get an opportunity to spend that quality time with my family I jump on it! Of course that doesn’t mean I leave my camera at home…;)
My cousin Gayle and her two sisters are my extended sisters! We spent a lot of the summer months as kids playing in our Oma’s back yard or at their camp in the woods. Now that we’re grown, all of us have spread out through the country. So when Gayle and I ended up in the same state I was absolutely THRILLED. Part of her family recently decided to visit and invited me to come along. Talk about a breath of fresh air! It was amazing spending 3 days with them!
Originally I was suppose to have shot Gayle & Jon’s wedding, but due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn’t able to be there on their special day. When Gayle invited me to come visit she also requested my camera (which I already planned on bringing!) and *POOF* the idea of rocking Gayle’s dress was born! I posted some of my favorites of just Gayle on Simply Beautiful Couture if you want to see more of her gorgeous face! Cuz, I mean, who wouldn’t?! This post however, is focusing on her and Jon! I’m so happy that Gayle has found her perfect match! Their home is gorgeous, peaceful, and it was so fun snapping a few quick shots of them together. Thank you Gayle and Jon for inviting me into your home and putting up with my camera! 😉 I love you guys!
XOXOXO,
Mabyn
