Happy New Year!
Every year as we count down from 10 to a brand new year, we all feel that anticipation of change. By the end of the holidays, we’re ready, we crave it. C’mon new year! Bring on a clean slate, a fresh start, change! So what better way to celebrate a fresh start than with your very own wedding? Lauren & Adam chose New Year’s Eve as their wedding date to usher in this new chapter in their adventure with all of their family & friends. Can you believe in my 10 years as a wedding photographer, I’ve never shot a New Years Eve wedding? I’m pretty shocked myself. But I think it was great for Daniel & I too, 2019 marks a year of change for us as well and it was a great way to usher in our anticipation and change. Lauren & Adam’s Charlotte New Years Eve wedding at Triple C Brewery was SO MUCH FUN!
Good Luck Charms
When Lauren & Adam first approached us to capture their wedding, they had just said goodbye to another photographer due to pregnancy. Not long after Lauren and Adam signed the contract for their new photographers (us!) we found out WE were pregnant TOO! We joked on their wedding day that Lauren & Adam are fertile good luck charms. Thankfully our due date didn’t conflict with their wedding date and everything moved on as planned.
Duke Mansion
The day started at the beautiful Duke Mansion in the heart of Charlotte. Despite a little rain, the day was warm for December and Duke Mansion gave us gorgeous locations to shoot everything from the first look to family portraits. By the time we all loaded onto the bus for the ceremony, the major photos were done. All these two had to do was walk down that aisle and say “I DO!” Their ceremony didn’t disappoint either. You know how I live for the happy tears and they were EVERYWHERE! Lauren & Adam’s emotional vows had the whole house tearing up.
Triple C Brewery
Triple C has created a really cool space for events at their brewery. It easily held all of Lauren & Adam’s guests as well as provided a great atmosphere for a rockin’ New Years Eve party! This crew spent the evening dancing and eating delicious food as they eagerly anticipated 2019! Noisemakers and cheers were heard all around as the clock struck midnight and the newlyweds sealed the new year with a kiss! What a perfect end to a perfect day.
