There are times in our lives where everything comes together like it was ment to be. That’s how it was when we met Julia and Lee. We met at the tail end of a bridal show and we hit it off immediately! We would run into each other periodically at the grocery store because, hey we live a hop, skip, and a jump away from each other! Their You + Me session was ridiculously amazing and fun and then there was their wedding day…..OOOOHHHH their wedding day I still drool over when I look at their photographs!
I wont say I’m biased (*cough*) Ok so I’m biased, every time I go to the Aurora Inn, magic happens! Something about the way the light filters through the windows, the historic feel of the building, and the 5 million things that inspire me constantly! Combine all of that with the creative juices of Julia and Lee and you have an amazing wedding no one will soon forget! (I definitely wont!)
The day was so mellow, I arrived to a bride who was calm, collected, and enjoying being pampered by the fantastic ladies of Makeup On Demand! The room was full of jokes, laughter, and a couple of “awwwwwww” moments. Their ceremony was full of genuine, deep, raw love! You could cut it with a knife it was so thick!
Heather, wedding coordinator extraordinaire, timed everything perfectly! The light for the formals was so delicious and I could have shot much longer than we did!
Their reception was a rockin’ party brought by Black Tie Entertainment and Tim and I couldn’t help but dance ourselves while taking pictures! We had so much fun and I’m so excited to attend Julia’s Cookie Swap! Consider this my RSVP lady! I can’t wait for you to tell me all about Ireland!
I am so blessed to have met you and Lee! Thank you for choosing us to capture your amazing day!
xoxoxoxoxo!!

About the day:
Bride & Groom:
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
For Julia, seeing Lee and Scout (our dog) walk down the aisle. I could see them, but they couldn’t see me. It suddenly became real and it was hard to hold back the tears at that moment. For Lee, seeing Julia walk down the aisle.
What was you favorite detail?
Everything! I often tell people that we had the best vendors and their attention to detail was amazing. I was never stressed or worried about anything because everyone else had it handled.
Any advice for future bride & grooms?
Choose your vendors wisely. Get recommendations and meet with them to discuss your “vision” and get to know their style. We got very lucky and picked people who complemented and enhanced our dreams.
Funniest memory from you wedding day?
Lee’s college friend serenading Julia to “Start Me Up” doing his best Mick Jagger, complete with power slide!
If you had to do it all over, would you change anything?
Nothing. Some things didn’t go according to plan, but they make for great stories now and it’s all a part of the experience.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
Dancing lessons. We did two dances that were able to set the tone for the night (a more elegant foxtrot right after the cocktail hour and a fun swing to get the party going after dinner) and we had a lot of fun!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Ireland.
What is your favorite wedding photo and why?
A photo of us during our first dance with each of our parents and all of the attendants looking on from the background. It reminds me that although we shared a special day, it was only possible with the support of the people who love us.
Isn’t Julia’s Mom gorgeous?
Some of my fave dress shots, yay reflective surfaces!
Hi light, can I have you all the time? K thanks! YUM!
Julia, really? You’re SO STUNNING!!!
Lee walked down the isle with their dog Scout!

All of the details were so devine!
My fave photo from the day. We were trying to get a group picture together and grandma kept on dancing. I love the reactions of everyone and the giant smile on grandma’s face!
