A lot of women that come to me for personal brand photos, don’t have a personal brand. And that’s 100% okay because part of what I do is help you figure out a starting point for creating that brand. Think of your first brand shoot as a baseline. We’ll dive into your current business and pull out gems that will you stand out from the rest.
Emily is a perfect example of what I call the brand evolution. She needed photos done because she was pivoting her career to her true passion, art. She didn’t have all the puzzle pieces yet, but she wanted to build a website, and part of that required photos of her and her art. So we put together a quick photoshoot that fit her needs at the time.
As the year went on Emily started to find the heartbeat of her brand and art style and slowly realized that the images we had taken didn’t quite fit the direction her personal brand was going. So the next time I traveled to New York, we set up another shoot.
This time we focused on making her photos match her art. We took that color palette and applied to it the space we shot in, Emily’s outfits, and even made the light moodier to fit her moody paintings. This time Emily’s photos blend seamlessly with the art she’s creating to create a symbiosis between the two.
If you’re unsure that you have a personal brand or where to start creating one, booking a brand session with a photographer who will guide you is key. You’ll quickly realize what images are working, and what are not, and start to grow an identifiable brand your audience will love.
