You may have seen this instagram photo not too long ago. I asked you what you thought it was. I had guesses from “You’re getting married & it’s going to be rustic/glam/chic?” to “Frilly diamond encrusted boots?” Haha! Great guesses, but not even close!

Ok, I won’t keep you in anticipation any longer, this triptych displays elements from my NEW STUDIO SPACE! Yaaaay! The pom poms have since been taken down, but the brick, chandelier, & wooden floor are still there.

For those of you who know me well, you know having an independent work space is directly related to my productivity level. I know I’m weird, but I like to go to work!  This past year I’ve been working from my bedroom for the most part. For some reason I always felt scattered or disconnected with my office in the corner of my room. It was a weird blend of always & never working. Now, I can go to work and set aside specific time to be intentional about everything photography & then go home and enjoy the company of friends. I guess that’s the tiny bit of A type personality coming through. I need a little structure in my life!

The best part of this new space that I can actually shoot in it too! My NY space was purely editing/meetings. This time I am a step closer to my dream studio, lots of beautiful light, wooden floors, & it even has exposed brick walls! Excuse me while I drool a little…

I’m sharing this space with 2 other photographers & a web designer. So far, I’m the only one who works here on a daily basis, but everyone else utilizes the space for meetings and shoots. I’ve officially been here for a week now and I’m loving every minute of it! I can’t wait to schedule a Simply Beautiful Couture session here! It’s going to be FANTASTIC!

I’ve taken a few shots for you to see, I’m also hoping to create a couple of fun videos in the near future…I haven’t done a dance party in awhile….
